With over 50 years of service, Gowanda Ambulance was founded in 1961 as a volunteer organization then Incorporated in 1963 as a non-for-profit 501 3c.  Over the years Gowanda Ambulance Service has held on strong providing care and eventually switching over to paid staff in 2010.   Today Gowanda Ambulance Service provides 24/7 Paramedic level ambulance service to  the Towns of Collins, Dayton, Persia, Perrysburg, and the Village of Gowanda.  Gowanda Ambulance also provides mutual aid advanced life support to other ambulances when needed.
